Operating Policy

Tuition and Refunds

The cost of French, Italian, and Spanish group classes is $245 per term. Group classes in all other languages are $295. All regularly scheduled classes meet once a week for 80 minutes during an eight-week term.

Required textbooks, optional language audio material and workbooks will be available at additional cost, at the meeting of the first class or at the Institute in advance.

In order to maintain our small class sizes and our commitment to our students and faculty, BGBH Inc. dba. Beverly Hills Lingual Institute ("BHLingual") enforces the following policy regarding payment, withdrawal and refunds:

• Payment must be made in full before attending the first class.

• Tuition payments, tuition deposits and text purchases are non-refundable and cannot be postponed to a future term. No credit or refunds can be given in any form.

• An enrollment, fully or partially paid, can be gifted to a friend who wishes to take a class during the term for which the original student is registered, provided that the friend is new to the Institute and has not already enrolled.

• Tuition paid for a group class cannot be transferred to private classes, except in the event of a cancelled class.

Classroom Homework

Students are encouraged to contact the office for homework assignments when absent.

Rescheduling Private Classes

Please contact the office to schedule and reschedule. Tuition for Private classes is non-refundable.

Rescheduling requires 24-hour notice, with the exception of Monday classes, for which notice must be given on Friday. Students may make 2 schedule changes per 8 lessons.

Students must speak to an administrator when making any changes, and these must be made during business hours. Voice messages and emails are not acceptable mediums for rescheduling.

Students are charged in full for classes missed or rescheduled late.

Bonus Group Classes

Students enrolling in a Group class at BHLingual are purchasing a specific language class, meeting once a week, at an exact day and time. BHLingual assures that a place will be available for the class in which you enroll, and that no more than 8 students will be in any class.

BHLingual understands that our students' busy lives dictate that occasionally they are unable to attend the class for which they have enrolled. In order to accommodate these situations, the Institute permits a student to attend another class as a bonus class at no additional charge, as long as the following rules are followed:

• No bonus classes, nor requests for bonus classes in weeks 2-8, are permitted during the first week of each term.

• Starting in the second week of the term, students must call and register for any proposed bonus classes. The projected attendance in the proposed classes will be checked, including any known absences. If classes are full, no bonus class can be offered. If space is available, a notice will be placed on the roll sheet for the instructor denoting permission for the student to attend the class.

• No more than two bonus classes are permitted per term. Once a bonus class has been assigned and noted on the roll sheet, it counts as one of the two bonus classes permitted for that term, whether or not the student attends the class.

• No homework will be given to a student who attends a bonus class.

• Under some circumstances, BHLingual will permit bonus classes to be carried over to a subsequent term as long as the student enrolls in the same language for the subsequent term. No bonus classes will be offered for any term, or for any language, in which the student is not enrolled.

• Enrollment at BHLingual does not include the right to take alternative classes as bonus classes. We will endeavor to accommodate requests when reasonable, at our discretion. If such classes are unavailable, we have no obligation to provide bonus classes. BHLingual reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time if the administrative burden becomes too great.

• Students should note that bonus classes are never as good as coming to regular class. They will not cover the exact same material, and will usually be with another teacher. They are intended to be greatly beneficial as an additional opportunity to learn new things or reinforce knowledge already covered. BHLingual continues to be committed to this program, and we hope that our students find it beneficial.

Classroom Courtesy

BHLingual reserves the right to dismiss any student at its discretion for lack of common courtesy or infringement of any policy of the Institute or the building.

An anonymous visitor to our website will remain anonymous in all cases. BHLingual does not attempt to identify visitors if they do not voluntarily register on the site. We do provide links to, but do not control the privacy of, third-party sites. Whenever in question, we encourage you to review the privacy policies of those sites.

Use of Information

Information received online is used solely for the purposes of requesting services, registering for classes, paying for classes and other services received from BHLingual, direct mailings, and general follow-up activities. BHLingual does not sell, rent, barter, trade, or share any personal information except with the financial institution that processes credit-card or check transactions.

Children

When any person under the age of 18 wants to register for classes with BHLingual, we require that a parent or legal guardian register on their behalf.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive, containing information about the user's session. BHLingual does not use information from cookies for any other purpose. BHLingual cookies are terminated when a visitor ends their browser session. However, cookies may also be stored on a user's hard drive once they have logged off from our website.

Security

BHLingual is extremely careful that all client information, including any information received from website users, is kept confidential within BHLingual. All such information is confined to our offices and is only used for its intended purpose of registering and paying for language services, and for communication with students and prospective students.
